Michael Fischer Joins Songer Services as Chief Procurement Officer

Canonsburg, PA – May 12, 2025 — Songer Services is pleased to announce that Michael Fischer has joined the company as Chief Procurement Officer. With more than 20 years of leadership experience in procurement and supply chain strategy across the energy and industrial sectors, Michael brings deep expertise in managing large-scale capital projects and optimizing operational spend.

Michael’s career includes high-impact roles at Nacelle Solutions, Marathon Petroleum, Thyssenkrupp, and U.S. Steel. Throughout his tenure, he has led procurement programs supporting multi-billion-dollar project portfolios, developed corporate pricing structures, and implemented systems that streamline purchasing processes while improving vendor performance.

In his new role at Songer, Michael will oversee the modernization of procurement operations, including the implementation of corporate-wide sourcing strategies, scalable purchasing systems, and field support protocols. His early focus includes vendor contract optimization, field purchasing training, and supporting preconstruction estimating through strategic sourcing and technology integration.
