David Toennies

David earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Tri-State University and joined Songer Services in 2010 after working for several years as a Structural Engineer within a notable Industrial/Commercial Engineering company. There, he performed work for the aluminum, petroleum, power and steel industries.

Thomas Jarka

Thomas joined the laborers union in 1983, starting at Bethlehem Steel Burns Harbor, where he performed maintenance work in a variety of areas including coke batteries, pickle lines, blast furnaces, and vacuum degassers. In 1996 he became a General Laborer Foreman for Kvaerner Songer. While there he worked on two major blast furnace outages. In 2006 he began as Laborer Superintendent for Songer Services. Four years later he was promoted to General Manager. 

Lauren Keating

After earning a B.S. in civil engineering from Penn State in 2007, Lauren joined United States Steel Corporation as a Project Engineer, where she spent five years helping to rehabilitate their global coke-making facilities. In 2012, she earned her MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. Two years later she was named Director of Engineering Projects with responsibility for managing large capital projects.

Mike Hubbs

Mike began his career in 1981 as an Ironworker Apprentice. By 1985, Mike was an Iron Worker General Foreman with Jaddco Anderson. In 1996, Mike became the Ironworker Superintendent for Kvaerner Songer Canada, and in 2001, the Dofasco Site Manager for Aker Kvaener. In 2008 Mike was hired by Alberici Constructors to manage their Steel Division.

Nathan Waszo

Nathan joined Songer Services as a safety coordinator in 2011, barnstorming sites across the nation to gain valuable hands-on safety experience at blast furnaces, rotary furnaces, coke batteries, tin mills, roll shops and gas and oil installations. In 2017, he advanced to HSE Director as an internally-developed leader for a new generation of industrial professionals exemplifying “The Songer Way.”

William C. Yockel

Bill began his professional career as a draftsman in 1978 at the Beaver Valley Nuclear Plant. After completing his formal education he advanced through several positions including Field Engineer, Piping Supervisor, and Field Staff Engineer. In 1987, he accepted a position of Project Engineer with Songer Corporation (currently Aker Construction) and advanced to Cost Engineer, Proposal Manager and Manager of Cost/Field Administration.

Richard J. Kline

Rick graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1974. Since graduating, Rick has held the position of Controller and Chief Financial Officer in the Oil & Gas, Drilling & Exploration industry and Food & Beverage distribution markets. Since 1977 he has been an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
