Songer Earns CAF Maintenance Project of the Year Award
Songer Services is proud to announce that our team has received the Construction Advancement Foundation’s Maintenance Project of the Year Award for our work on 1 & 2 Coke Batteries at Cleveland-Cliffs Burns Harbor.
This recognition reflects the skill, planning, and safety discipline required to support one of the most demanding maintenance environments in heavy industry. The project required 24/7 support from Songer laborers, bricklayers, foremen, supervisors, safety professionals, and project leaders working together to keep critical operations moving safely and reliably.
Over the course of 9 months, the team completed more than 367,000 craft hours while supporting refractory repairs, oven and standpipe work, ceramic welding, door sealing, spray crew support, and other daily maintenance needs.
This award belongs to the people who showed up every day, worked through challenging conditions, and got the job done the Songer way.
FROM TEAM SONGER
"Supporting active coke battery operations takes more than manpower. It takes planning, communication, safety discipline, and skilled craft professionals who understand the work.
Congratulations to every team member involved in earning this recognition. This is another strong example of Songer’s commitment to industrial craftsmanship, safety, and execution."
